MELBOURNE | If you’re a fan of mac and cheese (who isn’t), you’ll definitely want to know about this one.
Classically trained chef Aaron Duffy started the The Mac Project back in 2017, focusing on mac and cheese with a gourmet twist. As with many events and catering focused businesses, COVID-19 lockdown wasn’t exactly great for business, so this year Aaron launched a retail offering, selling and delivering his treats direct to the public.
Aaron dropped off some of his food a few weeks back to try, and I gotta say it all hit the spot nicely. There’s trays of original or jalapeño mac & cheese, done classic or vegan, along with other things like mac and cheese donuts, croquettes, hot dogs, and puff pastry rolls. Aaron also does a mean sea salt caramel mousse with chocolate ganache.
